THE ULTIMATE ATHLETE PROGRAM (S'pore Polytechnic)

 The Ultimate Athlete® is a full day/ six hours intensive workshop that aims to equip recreational athletes with the core essentials pertaining to Sports Psychology, Sports Nutrition and Strength and Conditioning.

This workshop is a combined effort of experienced coaches and current and former lecturers from institutes of higher learning. The workshop is a combination of lectures and experiential learning. The objective of this workshop is to correct common misconceptions and for participants to acquire “winning formulae” pertaining to sporting performance.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  

Nutrition:

Participants will discover how a Target Sports Diet helps to minimize recovery time and improve sporting performance. They will also learn about Carbo-loading, pre/post exercise meals and supplementation for sporting performance 

Psychology:
Participants will learn how to achieve optimum arousal levels for better sporting performances via relaxation techniques, goal-setting, visualization and positive self talk 

Strength and Conditioning:
Participant will find out about the difference between bodybuilding and sports specific S&C, structuring sports specific energy system training and how to integrate S&C into their overall training program.
